UX Designer + Digital Strategist
Story ARC Studio helps mission-driven clients (health care, government, consumer brands) tell their stories — turning complex strategy into clear, impactful content.
Goal
Design the user experience to make Story ARC Studio’s value proposition immediate and compelling, simplify user flows, and highlight their strategic storytelling process in a way that resonates with prospective clients.
Role & Responsibilities
Providing UX Design & Strategy for the design, Rise X Shine:
Conducted UX audit on the brand needs (structure, content, pain points)
Defined site information architecture, sitemap, and content hierarchy
Mapped user flows for three core visitor types: new clients, returning clients, and referral partners
Created wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes that reflect the brand’s tone and structure
Collaborated with the founder to refine voice, messaging, and storytelling across the site
Delivered final design assets (layout, typography, content placement) ready for development
Approach: Process & Design Strategy
Research & Audit – Analyzed the competitor sites: reviewed navigation paths, page structure, and content clarity to identify friction points.
Define Personas & User Flows – Imagined typical site visitors (e.g. prospective clients from healthcare, government, consumer sectors) and mapped their journeys — from arrival to key actions (e.g. viewing services, reading case studies, contacting the agency).
Content Strategy & IA (Information Architecture) – Organized the site around core sections: Services, Clients, Testimonials, and Industry Recognition, echoing Story ARC’s own process language. This gave a clean, intuitive structure to the content.
Wireframing & Prototyping – Sketched low-fidelity wireframes to iterate on layout, then built high-fidelity mockups focusing on clarity, readability, and hierarchy.
Messaging & Storytelling Alignment – Worked with leadership to refine the headlines and body copy so that the site’s tone matched Story ARC’s brand promise: “Uncovering brand stories. Achieving brand missions.”
Key Deliverables & Solutions
Clear, intuitive navigation and site structure — visitors can quickly understand what Story ARC Studio does and which industries they serve.
Three-step storytelling framework visible site-wide — aligns with the agency’s own worldview and makes the process tangible for clients.

Simplified content architecture — services, clients, testimonials, and recognition are clearly separated into dedicated sections (e.g. “Clients”, “Recognition”, “Photography/Work” etc.), reducing cognitive load.
Strong visual hierarchy and readability — better typography, spacing, and layout make it easier for users to scan, understand, and engage with content.
Improved storytelling & brand voice — copy and flow that reflect the agency’s mission-driven, collaborative approach — positioning them as strategic partners.
Impact & Learnings
After the redesign (or hypothetically, upon completion), the new UX:
Makes clear within the first few seconds what Story ARC Studio is — eliminating ambiguity and increasing clarity of brand identity.
Guides visitors naturally toward key conversion goals (e.g. contacting the agency, exploring previous clients, viewing case studies).
Provides a scalable structure: as more work or clients are added, new content slots into a coherent hierarchy without clutter.
Demonstrates how strategic UX and storytelling design can reinforce brand identity and strengthen perceived value — not just aesthetically, but structurally and emotionally.
Conclusion
Designing Story ARC Studio’s UX was about more than form — it was about giving structure to their brand’s story. By creating a clear, intuitive, well-organized website that communicates both their process and values, we helped make Story ARC’s brand identity and offering immediately understandable to new visitors. This project demonstrates how thoughtful UX design — especially information architecture and messaging strategy — can impact clarity, trust, and, ultimately, conversions for a brand-focused agency.
